We hold friendly Support Group Meetings
usually every 2 - 3 Weeks and enjoy many social outings
Many of us also belong to and support the Parent and Carers
Forum in Pembrokeshire.
To
relieve the stress of Caring we are planning to enjoy a few outings,
leisure activities, meals and trips out using the Carers Special
Grant Money

are very welcome to come along and join us

(we have a good mixture of caring roles? so don't feel you have to be high support to join us )

Gordon Brown has made carers a priority by setting up a Standing Commission on carers,
and launching the largest ever consultation for carers with a review of the National Strategy for Carers,

Learning disabilities
The Government is committed to improving the life chances of people with a learning disability. The Department of Health worked with several other Government departments on the White Paper, Valuing people; which was published in 2001 and designed to improve support for people with learning disabilities and their families.

Looking After Yourself
Looking After Me is a free course for adults who care for someone
with a long term illness or disability.
The first course starts on 20th September at the
Haverfordwest Cricket Club from 10:30 to 1:00pm
